 Instructional Design with Technology Reflection

  • What are your overall thoughts on this course?
  • Instructional Design with Technology was, in all honesty, quit challenging but very interesting at the same time. There were so many information to take in, but with the skills that we learned throughout the previous courses, it made it easy to navigate through this specific course. I liked that we got to explore the different kinds of educational resources that are provided online since it'll be of great help in the work I do. Majority of what we learned leans toward engagement and participation, which is great because it gives us the opportunity to provide a fun and exciting learning experience for everyone. Overall, I'm glad we were introduced to these tools and resources because it is helpful to know that there are other ways to make learning fun and engaging for all.

  • What were some websites and resources you found useful in your profession?
  • I learned that there are many different ways to provide fun and engaging resources, such as PBS Learning Media, Khan Academy, or even ReadWorks, which will be helpful when I need to prepare resources for families. There were also a number of feedback tools mentioned, but I thought Padlet was a great tool to use when you want to share ideas, information, resources, etc. which will be great for team activities or even professional developments.


  • What other tools and resources would you be interested in learning about? 
  • This course has provided a lot of great resources and tools that I see myself using now and in the future, but the one I'd like to know more about would be the AI tools. I did get a chance to do a little exploring with Diffit and how it provides different ways to create activities that keep children engaged, but I would love to know and use more of the other AI tools as well.

End of Course Reflection- Google Applications

  Joining the Edtech Cohort 12 Training might have to be one of the best decisions I made so far this year. I was hesitant at first because it seemed like a challenging course, but it's really more of a hands-on and informative kind of training. Throughout the five weeks of learning about Google Applications, I got to learn the basics of using Google Calendar, Keeps & Tasks, Gmail, Docs, Drive, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Image Search, Maps, Earth, and now ending it with Sites and Blogger.  Most of theses Google Applications have been apps that I've been using when I was going to school, but now is something I use on a daily basis at work. Google Keeps and Tasks were apps that I didn't use, only because I didn't have any knowledge of its use or purpose. Now that I know they are both used to set reminders and keep you in check with any tasks that need to be done, I find it to be important and useful.
