End of Course Reflection- Student Tech Products

Image
What are your overall thoughts on this course? This course was a very fun, creative, and engaging course. Not only was it fun, but it provided me the opportunity to explore different student tech products that will be useful in the classroom and office. Among the three course we're done so far, this has to be my favorite. It dealt a lot with creativity and finding ways to make lessons or sharing information more enticing for students, families, or even colleagues. What were some student tech products you found useful in your profession? When creating resources or flyers for information sharing, I usually use Canva, but now I can use PosterMyWall, Powtoon, or even Prezi. Being able to use other sites like these mentioned, has opened a door for me to be more creative and different. It also offers me an opportunity to try out other student tech products that I can use for parent meetings, especially when we want to do short presentations. What are the advantages and disadvantages of u

EdTech Program

Image
Self Reflection My overall thoughts on the Ed Tech program is that it offered many great tools, resources, and applications that will be of great help for both educators and admin staff of the education world. When I first read about the courses we will be learning about, I was quit frightened because I feared that it would be too difficult and time consuming for me. Now that I've made it to the end, with many unforeseen circumstances that came with it, I now realized it wasn't so bad. I say that because despite the challenges I faced, I now see how useful the skills we learned have been for me. The hands-on activities and step-by-step guidance from the instructors also made it an enjoyable, fun, and less stressful experience. I hope these same skills will be helpful for future Ed Tech participants too. Among the many topics that we've learned in the past 8 months, the topics within the Digital Citizenship course were pretty challenging. There were so many information to

End of Course Reflection: Instructional Design with Technology

Instructional Design with Technology Reflection What are your overall thoughts on this course? Instructional Design with Technology was, in all honesty, quit challenging but very interesting at the same time . There were so many information to take in, but with the skills that we learned throughout the previous courses, it made it easy to navigate through this specific course. I liked that we got to explore the different kinds of educational resources that are provided online since it'll be of great help in the work I do. Majority of what we learned leans toward engagement and participation, which is great because it gives us the opportunity to provide a fun and exciting learning experience for everyone. Overall, I'm glad we were introduced to these tools and resources because it is helpful to know that there are other ways to make learning fun and engaging for all. What were some websites and resources you found useful in your profession? I learned that there are many differ

Thank You, Digital Citizenship!

Image
Digital citizenship is when a person is being safe and responsible in an online setting. Throughout these past few weeks, this course has taught me the importance of being a safe and responsible online citizen, what it means to have digital etiquette, the importance of digital commerce and how to protect your personal information, and many other important information that's needed to know and understand. By having knowledge on these topics, it allows me to be more mindful and be able to share with others who might not be fully aware of these.   Some ways I'd integrate digital citizenship in my workplace might include:  Sharing my experiences and knowledge when a colleague needs help with something that they don't understand or might not be aware of. Remind my colleagues about digital etiquette, because although we can be full of jokes in real life, it might not always seem that way online. Having these tips and reminders would allow them to be mindful and respectful during

Importance of Taking Care of Your Mental Health

Image
"It is during our darkest moments that we must see the light"                              -Aristotle   Mental health can affect the way we think, feel, and act. It also determines how we handle stress and how we relate to others. Since our mental health can affect our body in many ways, it is best to make sure we take the time to maintain it by doing self-care or other activities that could improve our mental health. Aside from that, it empowers us to build meaningful relationships, navigate challenges, and make proper decisions.  Not only does maintaining our mental health improve our daily functioning within ourselves, but it also helps us control or get through some of the physical health problems that are directly linked to mental health conditions, such as stress and heart disease. Other benefits of taking care of our mental health includes reducing our anxiety, creating a sense of inner peace, thinking more clearly, increasing our self-esteem, or even improving our

End of Course Reflection- Google Applications

Image
Joining the Edtech Cohort 12 Training might have to be one of the best decisions I made so far this year. I was hesitant at first because it seemed like a challenging course, but it's really more of a hands-on and informative kind of training. Throughout the five weeks of learning about Google Applications, I got to learn the basics of using Google Calendar, Keeps & Tasks, Gmail, Docs, Drive, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Image Search, Maps, Earth, and now ending it with Sites and Blogger.  Most of theses Google Applications have been apps that I've been using when I was going to school, but now is something I use on a daily basis at work. Google Keeps and Tasks were apps that I didn't use, only because I didn't have any knowledge of its use or purpose. Now that I know they are both used to set reminders and keep you in check with any tasks that need to be done, I find it to be important and useful. I also like how it can be linked to any device I plan to use, as long as
